Description
Overview
At 450 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Susan Moore, or 9 miles east of Blountsville, moving south at 15 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Snead, Susan Moore, Brooksville, McLarty and Hendrix. This includes US Highway 278 between mile markers 99 and 109.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
