Description
The areas affected include... Cape Decision to Cape Edgecumbe out to 15 NM... Cape Decision to Cape Edgecumbe from 15 to 80 NM... * At 259 PM AKDT, satellite imagery indicated a line of storms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail, located 28 NM south of Biorka Island, or 29 NM west of Little Port Walter, moving northwest at 35 knots. Locations impacted include... Mainly open waters of Cape Decision to Cape Edgecumbe out to 15 NM and Cape Decision to Cape Edgecumbe from 15 to 80 NM.
Instructions
Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office. Mariners can expect gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rains. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. This thunderstorm will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A Special Marine Warning may eventually be required. Boaters should consider heading for shore before the storm arrives.
