Overview
At 624 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Shelby County Airport, or near Calera, moving south at 10 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Alabaster, Pelham, Calera, Montevallo, Columbiana, Centreville, Jemison, Thorsby, Wilton, American Village, Maylene, Lawley, Ashby, Brierfield Ironworks Park, University Of Montevallo, Talladega National Forest, Shelby County Airport, Randolph, Minooka Park, and Six Mile. This includes the following highways... Interstate 65 between mile markers 217 and 240.
