Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. Water over some roadways.
Additional details
- At 639 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, Roxborough Park, Sedalia, Louviers, Castle Pines, Sprucewood, Devil's Head, The Pinery, Deckers, Cheesman Reservoir and Shamballa.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage areas and other low lying spots.
