- At 835 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen so far for locations near Cliffside, Ellenboro, Caroleen and Henrietta. Rainfall rates of up to 2.5 inches per hour have been noted at times. Heavy rainfall is tracking westward towards Alexander Mills, Harris, and Forest City. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Forest City, Spindale, Alexander Mills, Henrietta, Harris, Caroleen and Cliffside. - Locations along Beason Road, Franklin Road, High Shoals Church Road, Dobbins Road, and Old Mooresboro Road in far southeastern Rutherford County could see nuisance to minor flooding develop. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
