Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
Additional details
- At 646 PM MDT, Thunderstorms with torrential rainfall rates will quickly move through the greater Las Cruces Area. But torrential rain will lead to minor flooding, especially in poor drainage areas. Arroyos in the Talavera area and north of US-70 on the East Mesa may flow again. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
