Description
Overview
At 743 PM MDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, which has caused Alamosa Creek to overtop NM Highway 252 north of House. Between 1.25 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
