Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

Gila County in east central Arizona... Maricopa County in south central Arizona...

Impacts

Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

Additional details

- At 705 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in Campaign Creek. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Reavis Creek, Pine Creek and Campaign Creek. Campaign Creek is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
