Description
What
Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
Where
East Carteret and Mainland Dare Counties, and Hatteras Island, Northern Outer Banks, and Ocracoke Island. The strongest winds are expected for areas adjacent to bodies of water.

From 2 PM this afternoon to 2 AM EDT Friday.
Impacts
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Additional details
A strong coastal low will develop offshore east of the Carolinas and move north towards the New England coast by this weekend. A period of moderate to strong winds is expected to impact portions of the coast Wednesday into Thursday. These strong winds may last longer depending on the track of the low.
