Juneau... * THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE. Until 1100 AM AKDT. * THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE. At 1012 AM AKDT, the dam operator reported the failure of Salmon Creek Dam causing flash flooding downstream on the Salmon Creek. THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE NO FLOODING IS EXPECTED.

THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE. Life threatening flash flooding of areas downstream from the Salmon Creek Dam along the Salmon Creek. * THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE. The nearest downstream town is Juneau. AEL&P and city emergency management officials report that flash flooding is developing from the failure of the Salmon Creek Dam. All people in the Salmon Creek area should immediately begin to move on foot to your designated evacuation areas. All motorists need to stay at least one mile away from the intersection of Egan Drive and Glacier Highway near the hospital. Do not drive into this area until further notice.
Instructions
If you are in low lying areas below the Salmon Creek Dam you should move to higher ground immediately.
