Description

What

For the Small Craft Advisory, northeast winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 6 to 11 feet. For the Gale Warning, northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and seas 12 to 17 feet expected. For the Storm Watch, northeast winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 50 kt and seas 18 to 23 feet possible.

Where

In Massachusetts coastal waters, Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary and Massachusetts Bay and Ipswich Bay. In Atlantic coastal waters, Ocean Waters from the Merrimack River to Plymouth from 40 to 60 NM.

When

For the Small Craft Advisory, until 2 AM EDT Friday. For the Gale Warning, from 2 AM to 11 AM EDT Friday. For the Storm Watch, from Friday morning through Saturday evening.

Impacts

Storm force winds and hazardous seas could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

Instructions

Mariners should prepare to remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the vessel before the onset of severe conditions.
