Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional details
- At 507 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms has been falling an areas where heavy rainfall fell last night. This may cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southwestern Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, Larkspur, Castle Pines, Sedalia, Franktown, The Pinery, Louviers, Perry Park, Castlewood Canyon and Shamballa.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage areas and other low lying spots.
