Overview

FFWJKL The National Weather Service in Jackson has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Harlan County in southeastern Kentucky... * Until 900 PM EDT. * At 753 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated new thunderstorms producing heavy rain upstream of the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen from earlier storms. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding could begin again shortly.

Harlan, Loyall, Wallins Creek, Rosspoint, Golden Ash, Kitts, Clovertown, Harlan Gas, Baxter, Putney, Sunshine, Bledsoe, Big Laurel, White Star, Pine Mountain, Tremont, Nolansburg, Arthur, Kentenia and Totz. This includes the following streams and drainages... Lovely Branch, Cumberland River, Jakes Creek, Poor Fork Cumberland River, Rockhouse Creek, Beech Fork, Line Fork, Greasy Creek, Terry Fork, Little Laurel Creek, Stony Fork, Clover Fork, Reuben Branch, Foresters Creek, Oldhouse Branch, Ages Creek, Right Fork Bill Branch, Wallins Creek, Big Run, Salt Trace Branch, Fourmile Branch, Bailey Creek, Gabes Creek, Martins Fork Cumberland River, Catron Creek, Jesses Creek, Middle Fork Kentucky River, Straight Creek, Clover Fork Cumberland River, Big Branch, Laurel Branch and Laurel Fork.
