Description
What
For the Small Craft Advisory, northeast winds 15 to 30 kt with higher gusts and seas 8 to 13 feet. For the Hurricane Watch, east winds 30 to 45 kt with higher gusts and seas 16 to 21 feet.
Where
Alenuihaha Channel, Big Island Leeward Waters and Big Island Southeast Waters.
When
For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 AM HST Friday. For the Hurricane Watch, beginning 6 AM HST Friday.
Impacts
Extremely strong winds will cause hazardous seas which will likely capsize or damage vessels and severely reduce visibility.
Instructions
Mariners should remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for extreme conditions before conditions deteriorate further.
