Details

At 2:59 a.m. CST, a line of severe thunderstorms is located from about 15 km southwest of Zengle Lake to 35 km north of Wathaman Lake then to 45 km west of Davin Lake. These severe thunderstorms are moving east at 55 km/h. Damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain are possible. Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Zengle Lake, Wathaman Lake, Davin Lake

Impacts and guidance

Some travel delays are likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Instructions

À 02h59 HNC, une ligne d’orages violents s’étend depuis un point à environ 15 km au sud-ouest du lac Zengle jusqu’à 35 km au nord du lac Wathaman, puis jusqu’à 45 km à l’ouest du lac Davin. Ces orages violents se déplacent vers l’est à 55 km/h. Des rafales causant des dommages, de la grêle pouvant atteindre la taille d’une pièce de vingt-cinq cents et de la pluie très forte sont possibles. Les régions et lieux à proximité possiblement touchés comprennent: lac Zengle, lac Wathaman, lac Davin

Impacts et conseils

Des retards dans les déplacements sont probables. Les fortes pluies pourraient causer des crues soudaines et réduire considérablement la visibilité. La grosse grêle pourrait causer d'importants dégâts et des blessures graves. Les alertes d'orages violents sont émises lorsque des orages imminents ou en cours risquent de produire de la pluie, de la grêle ou des vents destructeurs.

Instructions

Mettez-vous immédiatement à l'abri si un orage approche. Si vous êtes à l'extérieur, protégez-vous des débris volants et de la grêle. Quand le tonnerre gronde, rentrez vite! La foudre tue et blesse des Canadiens chaque année.

Extra care and attention should be exercised in and around the following localities: Southend, Brabant Lake and Kinoosao. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking very dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing one or more of the following: destructive winds or baseball size or greater hail. Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches. Intense lightning is likely and tornadoes are possible with any thunderstorm that develops.

Une attention et des précautions additionnelles devraient être exercées près et autour des localités suivantes: Southend, Brabant Lake et Kinoosao. Les météorologues d’Environnement Canada surveillent l'évolution d'orages violents très dangereux pouvant produire un ou plus des éléments suivants : vents destructeurs ou grêle de la taille d'une balle de baseball ou plus. Mettez-vous immédiatement à l'abri si un phénomène météorologique menaçant s'approche. De nombreux éclairs sont probables et il y a toujours un risque de tornade avec un orage.
