Description
A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 NM... At 658 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located near Belky Bear, moving northeast at 10 knots.
Instructions
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.
