Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

When
Until 530 PM AST.
Impacts
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. The Rio Blanco sensor indicates that it is out of its banks causing flooding along low lying areas. Road PR-191 could be impassable. Road PR-31, Exit 22 toward Highway PR-53 will be impassable as well. The exit toward the highway may be flooded as well.
Additional details
- At 256 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will continue to result in minor flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
