...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTY... At 505 PM MDT, emergency management reported the Rio Bonito has exceeded its banks, which has prompted the closure of US Highway 380 at mile marker 103. Evacuations are being performed from Lincoln to the US Highway 380 and 70 intersection. Flash flooding is already occurring. FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Hondo. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

Impacts
This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Hondo and Tinnie. This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 100 and 107. An evacuation shelter has been set up at Hondo Valley Public Schools at 111 Don Pablo Lane.

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
