At 17.0 feet, John Hay Recreation Area on east side (inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding.

- At 9:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 16.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
