What

Northeast winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and waves 5 to 9 ft.

Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA and Chesapeake Bay from Little Creek VA to Cape Henry VA including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

Additional details

Northeast winds could briefly diminish to 20 to 25 kt with gusts to 30 kt this afternoon, but will increase again this evening into early Saturday morning.

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions.
