Overview
...The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in New Mexico... Rio Hondo Above Roswell affecting Chaves and Lincoln Counties. .Heavy Rain upstream of this point resulted in catastrophic flash flooding near Hondo. This has resulted in minor flood impacts along this reach of the river. Impacts downstream of the Two Rivers Reservoir will be minimized due to controls cutting off flows from the reservoir.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/abq.
