Description
Overview
At 430 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Malaga, or 17 miles southeast of Carlsbad, moving northeast at 25 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Carlsbad, Loving, Malaga, Otis, and Cavern City Air Terminal.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
