Description
Overview
At 218 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15 miles east of Greenhorn Mountain, or 28 miles south of Pueblo, moving east at 15 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Colorado City.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Pueblo.
