Description
What
1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. The highest water levels are likely with the Saturday midday and possibly Sunday midday high tides.
Where
In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield and Southern New Haven Counties. In New York, Southern Westchester County.
When
During the times of high tide until 6 PM EDT Sunday.
Impacts
Minor to locally moderate flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect around 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.
Additional details
Another round of minor to locally moderate coastal flooding is possible for the Sunday morning high tide cycle.
Instructions
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
