FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Lincoln County in central New Mexico... * Until 645 PM MDT. * At 349 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tinnie, Hondo and Sunset. This includes U.S. Highway 380 between Mile Markers 284 and 300.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly or mountainous terrain there are numerous low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth.
