Description
Overview
At 446 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Rio Communities, or near Belen, moving northeast at 20 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Los Lunas, Belen, Valencia, Bosque Farms, El Cerro Mission, Meadow Lake, Rio Communities North, Tome, Rio Communities and Los Chaves. This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 177 and 207.
Instructions
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
