Description
Overview
At 514 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles northwest of Manzano, or 19 miles east of Los Lunas, moving east at 25 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Tajique, Manzano, Manzano Mountain State Park, Escabosa, Chilili, Meadow Lake, El Cerro Mission, Torreon and Miera. This includes Interstate 40 near Mile Marker 191.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
