Description
Overview
At 603 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Lemitar, or 5 miles north of Socorro, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Socorro, Escondida, Lemitar, San Acacia, Luis Lopez and Chamizal. This includes the following highways... Highway 60 between Mile Markers 116 and 138. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 142 and 165.
Instructions
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
