Description
Overview
At 648 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 15 miles northeast of Colonias to 21 miles north of Encino, moving east at 15 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Colonias and Milagro. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 237 and 263.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
