...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa... Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County. Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County.

Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

Iowa River at Oakville.

Until Saturday afternoon.

Impacts

At 11.5 feet, River Road is under water and the water is a few feet up onto the levee.

- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Friday was 12.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 5.6 feet Friday, October 02. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
