FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Socorro County in central New Mexico... * Until 900 PM MDT. * At 755 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding on Highway 169 northwest of Magdalena. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing.

Impacts
Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Magdalena and New Mexico Highway 169. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 100 and 119.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
