FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern Curry County in east central New Mexico... East Central Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico... * Until 1115 PM MDT. * At 810 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Clovis, Ranchvale, Cannon Air Force Base, Saint Vrain, Oasis State Park, Broadview, Bellview, Portair and Pleasant Hill. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 371 and 393.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
