Overview
At 811 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles north of Clovis, moving northeast at 25 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous travel. Locations impacted include... Clovis, Ranchvale and Pleasant Hill.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
