Description
What
Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where
Wast Central Guam between Mangilao and Talafofo.
When
Until 430 PM ChST.
Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional details
- At 334 PM ChST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.4 and 0.6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.4 to 1.6 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot and Yona. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
