Description

What

Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways (5.6 to 7.2 feet Mean Lower Low Water).

Where

Washington, Southern Bristol MA, Southern Plymouth MA, Southeast Providence RI, Eastern Kent RI, Bristol RI, and Newport RI Counties.

When

Until 8 PM EDT Sunday.

Impacts

Splashover and Minor coastal flooding is expected in the lowest lying areas along the south coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts over multiple high tide cycles late today through this weekend. A few immediate coastal roads may briefly flood due to wave action. In addition...minor beach erosion is also possible.

Instructions

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
