Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional details
- At 255 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Canyon, Umbarger, Mescalero Park and Buffalo Lake. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
