Description
What
Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 to 60 mph.
Where
The eastern Massachusetts coast as well as the south coasts of both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. This includes Cape Cod and the Islands.
When
Until 8 AM EDT Sunday.
Impacts
Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Additional details
The long duration of the winds coupled with heavy rain and fully leafed trees may exacerbate the risk for tree damage and power outages.
Instructions
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.
