Overview

FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Curry County in east central New Mexico... * Until 1030 PM MDT. * At 824 PM MDT, emergency management reported flash flooding across the warned area, with numerous road closures remaining in Clovis. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Clovis, Cannon Air Force Base and Portair. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 380 and 391.

Instructions

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
