Description
Overview
At 1146 AM EST, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

Impacts
Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Treasure Island, Okeechobee, Taylor Creek, Four Seasons Estates, Okeechobee Airport, Whispering Pines and Basswood Estates. Law enforcement reports portions of State Road 70 and US 441 in and around the City of Okeechobee are impassable. Motorists should avoid these roads. Water was also entering structures.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
