...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa... English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties.
What
Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

English River at Kalona.
When
Until Tuesday morning.
Impacts
At 18.0 feet, Water has overtopped roads causing closures. This includes 130th St, Kiwi Ave, Orange Ave and Poplar Ave. Extensive agricultural land near the river is flooded. Water begins backing into town on the north side of the river.

- At 9:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 17.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 AM CDT Monday was 18.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 6.6 feet Monday, September 28. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
Instructions
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next statement will be issued by Tuesday morning.
