...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Iowa... English River at Kalona affecting Johnson and Washington Counties.

At 17.0 feet, Water begins going over several county roads, including 13th St, Kiwi Ave, Orange Ave and Poplar Ave.

- At 8:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.6 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next statement will be issued by Wednesday morning.
